Working over 30 years from aged care, to acute care, and drug and alcohol services, drug and alcohol is a massive specialty area that needs more attention in the nursing curriculum. I’ve experienced most of the acts described, and the majority have occurred with patients experiencing delirium. A couple of decades ago we had one to one patient observers who solely cared for delirious patients to provide consistency and reorientation, however hospitals as businesses have altered agendas now, with earlier discharges and rapid flow to free up beds. Great spotlight on nurse life. 🙏🏼

Great video thanks guys…. As an ICU nurse I’ve had my fair share of violence. I don’t think the general population are even aware of this issue so keep it up amd get the info out
