One day he was rejected and it was the final straw. In the afternoon he stabbed his three roommates to death then went on a rampage in his car doing drivebyes and killed three other people, he then crashed his car during the police chase, he then shot himself

Such a wonderful parallel, Dr. Charles says, “it’s a loneliness epidemic”, and then you see how Monique mentions she has no family or friends to pick her up, you see how the shooting impacted her, vs the shooter, what he’s done, and his whole demeanor.

It’s not loneliness that’s the issue here.

Yes, she had the support of her coworkers, doesn’t mean she isn’t lonely outside of work. “What if he didn’t even have friendly coworkers?”, lots of people don’t, are still lonely, but they don’t shoot other people for it.
