Every single person who observed Holly in jail during those last 48 hours should be prosecuted.

The fact that a ‘for-profit’ jail exists in the first place is horrifying and awful. It’s sickening, truly

I'm a mortician and I treat corpses with more respect than those jail employees showed towards Holly. I hope the family gets justice

Nurse who “checked” on her should go to prison.

This is every day in jail and prison. I have witnessed it myself. A man rolled around on the floor screaming while passing a kidney stone for 30 mins. 200 of us stood up and threatened to riot. Only then was an ambulance called.

The fact that she went BLIND and could NOT WALK was a medical EMERGENCY and that nurse should have her license revoked. That doctor should be fired, and we should not have jails operate for profit. They should be sued into closure and everybody involved in any death because of lack of medical attention should be tried ciminally . If they can collect money for each of those people they are obligated to provide medical. Shame on everybody involved.

As a former correctional officer, I can say with a sharp degree of certainty, that the U.S. correctional industry is absolutely a for-profit industry.

As a nurse of 20 years, this is unacceptable and everyone that laid eyes on this woman is negligent and should be prosecuted accordingly. I hope the family successfully sues and renders the jail bankrupt; this place should not exist.

You’ve got a patient who: • can’t straighten their legs •Photophobia •Vomiting and doubly incontinent •Visual disturbance •total confusion • abnormal behaviour from baseline • limb paralysis x4. And you don’t immediately recognise she’s got meningitis or suffering another life-threatening neurological event?

I’ve got no words.

She suffered. Enormously. Every last employee to see her needs to be charged and prosecuted.

Please keep us updated on Hollys case

I suffered from sepsis twice in four months in 2018. And I can tell you there is nothing else like it. You cannot move, you cannot put a simple thought together. You are trapped in your own body completely reliant on other people to assist you. So for all these so-called nurses and medical staff to treat and ignore her the way they did is unforgivable !! They all need to be held accountable.

accountability for each and every employee that saw her in that condition.

You better believe the nurse and the jailers paperwork will not reflect that poor woman's last hours accurately.

This is extremely disturbing. It's disturbing on many levels. I hope Holly's lawyer wins the civil suit.

This is sad and disturbing. We should never have for-profit jails in this country.
R.I.P. Holly.

This is why I don’t work for the system anymore as a nurse I had so many many people suffer at the hands of my superiors that I even got into trouble by calling the ambulance myself because one man was so sick he had sepsis and if I hadn’t done what I did he would be dead. It’s a terrible thing to be helpless when all your job to do is help.

I had a friend die like that in Oak Ridge/Anderson County Tennessee. She was only in jail for a traffic issue and only 3 days. They denied her her medication and she died. No one cares because they are "just criminals" and "probably deserved it anyway". Tell that to my friend's orphaned child.

The way Holly was treated while she was in custody is DISGUSTING! Just because she committed a crime doesn’t mean she deserves this kind of treatment.

For Profit Prisons should be federally illegal.

As an European it keeps blowing my mind every time I am remembered America has private prisons.

What’s disturbing about this is the “herd” mentality of the jail staff not one person stood up and said this isn’t right they all just watched her die. Her family standing up and calling attention this behavior is courageous and my heart goes out to them.
