The facts that the person playing the patient is a real survivor, and that all the females that lined up are not extra’s, but actual crew members, writers, producers, etc on the show makes it that much more powerful!

The best line written in this episode is when she said, “ The alcohol 🍺 that he drinks is his excuse and the alcohol 🍷 that I drink, makes it my fault” Great writing and a phenomenal episode.

The fact that they thought about operating her in an all-female OR... my heart

Every woman in that (excluding the main cast members) were women that worked on Grey’s as writers, producers, designers, etc.

"what you did today was not protocol, but it should be"
I absolutely love this line because it's so true, we need more people like Jo in the real world for situations like this. The way Jo went about this whole situation is how it should be everywhere for everyone

I just love the fact that Deluca as a man made sure that no other men go into that hallway

FunFact: The actress who was the S.A. victim, she had requested to not see the halls of strong women until it was time for her to film the scene. The reaction on the character’s face was the actress’s own reaction.

Thats why Greys Anatomy is a relevant show after 16 years. Even all the drama of the central cast, the switch of couples... THIS SCENE and others alike show how major and important GA is for us.

Fun fact is that the actress playing the patient who was violated is a real survivor so this scene is even more special to know it is that real . PRAISE GREYS

Edit: you know it’s been 3 years and this still gets me everyday it hits so hard for personal reasons I can not imagine going through this wow :( it’s hard because for most women I can not say for all the process of getting checked at the hospital is just as horrifying as the trauma they went through Greys is the first show I can think of that showcases the raw hard truth of life including a woman who has actually been through it as well it is just so SO powerful and disgustingly beautiful if that makes sense. That’s what people need to focus on NOT that I call it a “fun” fact when I state it that isn’t the point that isn’t important move on don’t think of it that way get checked mentally and just realize how important this scene is how so many people go through and this is giving them some sort of voice back !!!! worry more about that.

"I've seen soldiers like this. Young women AND young men, who have no idea how to talk about this" - Thank you Grey's Anatomy for including men in this very powerful scene!

Everybody thinks only Mer, Richard, And Bailey are the only ones left from season 1. Yet Bokhee has been around since the first episode...

Every single time when the music kicks in when she looks into that hallway, I get goosebumps all over my body and tear up. It's such a powerfull moment that gets me anytime. Unfortunately I think every woman can imagine what she's going through. I hate that we all know a bit of how that feels. No one should ever feel so belittled, terrified, traumatized and hurt like that actress portrayed, but it's things that happen daily

Fun facts: what’s amazing about this episode is that the plot line was Camilla’s (Jo’s) idea after being infuriated by watching a courtroom case about rape. Upon ABC getting wind of the rape kit scene, they initially protested but Miss Shonda put her foot down. Eventually, the head of standards and practices for ABC joined the lineup of women in the hallway. This is the raw factor we need back in tv.

last night, i watched this episode for the first time with my mom and dad, and when this scene came on, we all cried. Sexual harassment, assault, and rape is a very serious topic to discuss and it should be discussed more often. To all the men and women who have been a victim of sexual abuse, no matter what you wore or where you were at, it was NEVER your fault. You did nothing wrong. You weren't dressed like a skank or a w-ore, they just thought like a rapist. You are never alone. And if you ever need to talk to someone, they will listen. You are loved and supported. No matter what your gender identity is, or your race or your age, the people who love you and support you will build you a wall of support for you.
