From the Shang Dynasty to the Qing dynasty even the Paracel islands do not appear on their ancient maps, what more of the Scarborough shoal and especially with Spratly islands. According to them, their Southernmost territory is Hainan.

The PH shows the world leaders its integrity, resilience, and reliance by adhering to previous signed world agreements, unlike China who is a signatory of UNCLOS in 1971 failed to abide & insist its baseless narrative in the West PH sea.
PH diplomatic avenue with China is not working so, PH needs to be aggressive and show presence in WPS to show China that it crosses the line. It will not intentionally poke China in the eye and use MDT to make trouble, but to keep transparency and make China become less aggressive in WPS.
