Video shows Chinese warship crossing path of US Navy destroyer

Tensions between the U.S. and China are escalating after a Chinese warship came stunningly close to a U.S. Navy destroyer in the South China sea, narrowly avoiding collision. “We do not seek conflict or confrontation, but we will not flinch in the face of bullying or coercion,” U.S. Defense Security Lloyd Austin warned. This happens many more times than the average person would imagine.
I was stationed on a warship in Yokosuka, Japan in the 80’s. Our soul purpose was to make a presence and chase Russian submarines around. They would come a few thousand yards ahead of us or follow us partially submerged just to show us they could. It’s all a big game, it’s what militaries do.

Apparently if collision do happen, it's still an accident, no matter how you want to call it. Too many ships sail in a very congested waterway make it more likely to happen.
