I love hoe French always goes into his English lessons excited with lots of questions and ends up leaving defeated and in tears. 😂

Teaching a Kindergartener to read and explaining that "to", and "do" sound similar but "go" sounds nothing like them... has opened my eyes more to the fact that English is

I'm convinced whoever invented the English language just wanted to see how many different ways they could spell the same word.

Just when you thought French was the most complicated language

We inherited our language from too many sources. Hence the madness. There are no rules in a lawless land.

I never realized the plight of the English language until now. I'm an English-speaker and thought learning other languages would be confusing. Well... I'm glad I wasn't really "conscious" when I was acquiring English. I got a headache just watching this. My sincerest apologies to you French.

The "wait" "weight" "wate" confusion is English's fault he said it was spelled the same as hate🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️😂😂😂

If the English writing system makes sense, there wouldn't be spelling championships

Pls make one for the 'ea' sound 😅

Bear
Wear
Tear (both noun and verb)
Pear (with pair, maybe)
Rear (should be the same w/ rare, obviously... but not 🙂)
Dear (dare or deer 😅, to confuse the French lmao)

The "h" didnt used to be silent. In words like why, where, when, etc people used to say both the w and the h sound. Some of the older generations still do.

In Spanish we are fortunate in that the pronunciation of any word can be deduced from its spelling. I can't imagine what a nightmare it must be for English children to learn to read!

French should be excited by this, definitely no right to complain lol
