For someone who wishes they could play finger style acoustic guitar but doesn’t want the headache of 6 strings and the baritone seems like the perfect sweet spot for me to learn a guitar like instrument

For beginners like me, being able to put a capo on the 5th fret allows you to play with your friends who are playing GCEA-tuned instruments without have to pull out the circle of fifths and tranpose their tuning to baritone tuning. It also means you can carry one instrument, instead of two, when you play with other people.

I started learning ukulele when I was 62 years old. I have at least one of each size. My favorite is the baritone uke -- the tone is actually better than most of my other guitars, but the extra space on the fingerboard makes it much easier to play - more fun for me. For this tired old brain, it was great not having to worry about the bottom two strings! Hey, if I need those low notes, I will play my BASS ukulele.

I have one in each size. They all have a special place in my heart, but especially the baritone. I play lullabies on it every night for my daughter. fingerpicking arpeggios is really relaxing.

Yay! Finally the baritone ukulele makes its first appearance on this channel. I own two baritone ukuleles and really love them. I do not own a standard tune ukulele. I can't wait for our first lesson on the baritone. Thank you for getting one.

I have been playing baritone ukulele for about a year! As soon as I picked it up I have not gone back to my other ukuleles! I can’t wait to see the amazing stuff you do with it!

Wow this is such a good move Marco and letting us know there will be special courses for baritone you made my day! Of all ukes I have the baritone is the one I use the most frequently because I love the deep sound it has and the cooling effect after a harassing day at work.

I have a concert, and a baritone. I like playing the baritone better, and also the sound. It's great that you're going to teach us beautiful songs, and can't wait. Thank you very much!!!

I've just bought the exact same model, cannot believe how easy it is to play. Out of the box quick tune and what a sound, absolutely amazing tone. All I need now is lots of tutorials from yourself.
Thank you Marco you are an inspiration.

I love the sound of a baritone Ukulele. My tenor is gathering dust since I got a baritone. Looking forward to the lessons. Thank you Marco.

I bought a baritone about ten years ago for use as a travel guitar. I can accompany myself whilst learning vocal parts when away from home, also sit in on Irish pub sessions, or any opportunity to jam. So much easier than lugging a guitar around, and loads of fun. I've since bought a KAM (copy of the Kala U-bass) solid bodied electric bass uke. I sold my MIJ Fender Jazz bass, as it was not getting any use now I have the U-bass.

Hello, thank you for all your lessons, they inspire me a lot! Started playing concert uke 4 months ago and I got so into it. Recently I wanted something with a deeper sound and went for a baritone. The sound stole my heart. First time I strummed it in the shop I knew this is the one for me! I cannot wait for more baritone stuff on your channel, thank you for all your work <3

I absolutely adore my bari ukulele! I have had it for about two years and I love the rich and warm sound that it produces. It took a bit of experimenting to find the right strings (in case anyone was curious, for me personally Aquila Red work best, but I’ve also had good experiences with Martins) and now I can’t imagine going back to my old concert ukulele. I really can’t wait for new content and new bari tutorials!

Just got a baritone (a rank beginner) about 4 months ago. Desperately trying to learn how to play it so I can use it in elementary school music classes next school year and lead the kids in songs -- bring on the lessons!

So I came across this video 5 days ago, and btw, Marco, you are my favorite Ukulele player here on YouTube and I am proud to be one of your Patreon members. I am in awe of your skill and love your classical style background and expression. After watching this video I immediately placed an order for the Kala KA-ZCT-B which was just delivered to me today and I am really enjoying it. I have only had Enya Uke's up to this point. A Tenor Nova Go Pro, a Tenor EUT-MAD EQ, and a concert EUC-MAD-XB Bernadette Signature. This is my first Kala and it is just magnificent. I love the deep tone and sound as it is the best of both worlds between a Uke and a guitar. I own a Taylor GS-mini in Mahogany which was my first stringed instrument, but it's 6 strings are just a little too complex for me as a beginner musician and that is why I switched over from guitar to Ukulele. Just like in the children's story of Goldilocks and the three bears, getting my hands on this Baritone Ukulele after playing on a concert and tenor size, makes playing a stringed instrument "just right" for me. Because of it's size and sound, I feel like I am playing a 3/4 sized acoustic guitar without any of the complications. Thank you so much for this video, Marco, it was just what I needed.

I started playing 10 years ago. My first ukulele was a baritone. But I couldn't find anything online to help me learn. There weren't any books at the music store either. So I got a soprano uke and started watching YouTube. I play every size of uke and recently have found a lot more baritone tutorials so I have picked it back up. I also have a tenor guitar that I tuned to baritone so I am loving to play 4 steal strings. I am looking forward to you baritone videos.

I recently got a Baritone because I love that deeper sound, and since getting it I've been drawn to pick it up more than my tenors, however I need to learn how to play it I've just been playing the songs I know on the normal uke on it. So looking forward to the lessons coming up!!
