2/5 ⭐️ for the “ScareSlide” :(
We waited months for our four Stairslide pieces, and were so excited. Sadly we will be returning them and using the money to buy a trampoline (yes they cost about the same 😳).
TL:DR = you only need two pieces, and make sure you end the bottom piece ON the bottom step.

I wish I saw this before I bought them back in November and spent nearly $300. I thought they would be amazing. We bought the four pack because we have three boys and a long flight of stairs but we figured out very quickly that they are SUPER fast and it hurts if you land on your feet OR your butt, especially if you have tile floors that feel like cement. We tried the pillows on the landing but they kept sliding out every time they went down and it was still unpleasant and a pain to keep adjusting. Finally I just discovered after watching some more videos that you can do the “low impact” method where you pull the last slide farther out onto your floor (don’t make it land on the step, make it land on the floor but slide it out) - so the top grip sits on your last stair step and then you pull out the bottom of the Stairslide as far as you you can so it’s more angled and not so steep. That was the ticket! Then we put a fitness pad under it and up against the wall, and the kids use one of those blanket sleep sacks to slide down because you do feel the little bumps when you slide. In all honesty I still would not recommend this product for how much it costs. Maybe if you could just buy one for a toddler to have some indoor fun but then might as well get the cheap little slides by little tykes. My kids were over it after 10 min and are back to playing VR and I could have paid off my credit card bill 🥴 Also you get 30 days to return after delivery but they charge a restocking fee, keep 15% of the sale, and you have to pay for shipping and packaging. In that case, you’re not saving much.

What an excellent review of this product!!! I almost started crying picturing your little one getting hurt.... That must've been heartbreaking. Great video

We were going to purchase for our 7 year old non verbal
autistic daughter. Thank you so much! I don’t know what your regular content is, but I just subscribed to your channel.

Thank you 🙏 for sharing! I just saw a commercial for Stairslide and was about to purchase but noticed they only come in 1, 2, 4 packs or more. I was also nervous about it. Now I know realistically what to expect. Thank you!

Thank you SO much for posting this review! I almost bought this as a Christmas gift, but had many of the concerns that you addressed. I’ll keep looking elsewhere.

Thanks for sharing. Sad to hear that your baby girl got hurt when trying to have fun. We hope she's feeling much better.

We had one of those slides that is "wavy" and metal in one of my hometowns parks and got going so fast I went airborne and landed on my tailbone. Did the same thing.

I am so sorry about your daughter! We bought a 6 pack a month ago, but the most we have used is 5 of them at once. The slides now do come with a paper instructions showing ways to make the slide, so maybe they listened to you. There is one way to stack the pieces that can hold 175 lb, but it is steeper. There is a way to stack the slide panels where it has a more gradual ending to the slide, and you just slide across the carpet on your butt. Since it is a gradual release at the bottom there is no pain. This method can only hold 100 lbs, but we much prefer that way because it feels safer and the kids don't land on their feet or bottoms harshly. Even our 4 year old can slide on the 100 lb slide method, and she does fine with it. No ouchy bottom. ❤️

Appreciate this review I was wondering about how it would be at the termination 🙏 Saved us from getting it, and having a kid in the hospital

SAME. We knew we didn't have the full recommended landing space, but used a full Nugget sofa as padding at the bottom to be safe. My husband and I tested it out Christmas Eve night to make sure it was safe. I flipped, despite all the padding, rocketed, and hit the wall. Ended up in the ER for 5 stitches in my forehead. We did try it Christmas morning with two sections for the kiddos, but even that was too much.

Positive & real review: I bought the 8 piece with 2 pads and used super glue and velcro straps on the floor to keep the pads in place when my kids slide down this massive slide. I honestly think this project takes more than just the extra supplies I bought (velcro, super glue, Duck tape). You gotta have some dad wisdom to understand what it means to change the coefficient of friction so that everyone lands on the pad at a safe speed. What exact wisdom you ask? The wisdom that all you need is a few strips of duck tape on every piece to make it a little less slippery (it slows them down).
As with anything your miles may vary, but don’t let ignorance stray you away from doing the job right.

Before watching any videos I ordered a 4 inch memory foam square with 2 inch foam topper for the landing. Kinda thought it was common sense that you need a permanent nonmoveable pad at the bottom 🤷🏻‍♂️

In the ad I saw that each piece was overlapped by 1 step to get rid of the gap I hope this helps

"This product is dangerous so I'll buy a trampoline instead!" LOL. Our kids love the stairslide. Got it a week ago. They can't stop playing on it. No injuries here.
