Aviation and marine electronics cost a small, well large amount of money. Getting everything to talk when components are supplied by multiple vendors would be a challenge. With sticking with a single supplier, you saved multiple headaches.

Can you install a Lightning Rod safe heater in the compartment to lower the humidity in the area or is it not required?

I’ve heard that if the lithium batteries catch fire it’s impossible to put them out because they make their own oxygen when burning. Is that a concern to you?
