Dear god thanks for including r1 as a targeting marker I was trying to figure out why dead eye wasn't working the same it's because the game Mark's enemy's for you in the beginning and after that I never could target enemy's because I thought it was automatically targeting

this was the only dead eye tutorial that i could find that actually explained how to use dead eye. There are so many videos that make no absolutely no mention of pressing the right analog stick, selecting targets with R1 and firing with R2. They just go on and on and on about the dead eye meter. for us Xbox boys: while aiming (holding LT) press down on the right joystick and use RB to tag enemies. when you have tagged all the desired enemies, shoot (press RT)

It sounds like the sequence should be R3 -> R1 -> R2. After the training portion of the game, you actually have to hit R1 to "lock on multiple spots'' on the target/enemy, as you said in the video. I'd hit R3, then R2 automatically, without ever hitting R1 and it would take me out of dead eye right after the first shot. Thanks for the video!

**ALSO*: If you use dead-eye the more efficient way, as described in the 2nd way on this tutorial, each time you engage dead-eye your gun will instantly reload, so not only does engaging and then disengaging dead-eye work more efficiently (in most cases) than targeting them all first, but it also helps you by not having to wait to reload.
