I'm in my mid 30's. My dad is coming up on 70 so he doesn't get the whole video game thing. He thought they're dumb and a waste of time. My family and I lived at his house for a year after I got out of the military (we were saving to buy a house) and I played the whole game from start to finish in his living room. He watched every night for weeks. It got to the point where he would rather watch me play the game than watch tv. He started asking me to do specific things like "hey can you go check that out over there?", "steal that coach.", "You're telling me that if you wanted to you could go all the way to the top of that mountian?...do it!", "Look out for that bear!", etc. If this game can do that to my dad then it truly is something special.

This game ruined other games for me for a while after I played it. It felt like I was getting ripped off paying the same premium price for what felt like unfinished games compared to red dead 2. What an experience this game is.

When Arthur got sick, I noticed I started taking care of him better and making better choices in game. He's the only character in a game I've felt connected to like he's a brother. I wanted what was best for my Arthur. Long Live Arthur Morgan

The fact that this might just be the best game rockstar games has ever created is both uplifting and upsetting at the same time.

The story mode is my all time favorite. I put more hours into this game than any other game

Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't a game...it's an experience unlike any other that has came before it. And this is why I still play it to this day. ❤️

Rockstar knows how to make classic games, not many other company’s come close. Both John Marston and Arthur Morgan, are two of the best game protagonist’s in video game history, I enjoyed every minute of both games. Here’s hoping gta 6 lives up to the hype.🤞

This game is the best game I’ve ever played hands down. The story left me empty for weeks. Even replaying the story still gets to me. Rockstar deserves all the praise they get for this game. Anyone who hasn’t played this game is missing out a truly phenomenal story. And probably the best game of the past decade.

Best game I've ever played. Weirdly enough, it was so good that it actually made me stop playing video games. I've never been able to replicate the experience I had playing this game and don't know if I ever will. Every other game, even the best games of their genre, just don't come close to the feeling you get going through the adventure of RDR2. I cried like a baby numerous times, laughed hysterically, screamed and swore at my screen, and just loved every single minute playing through this game.

The most underrated part of RDR2 is the side missions. There are so many optional honor missions and stranger missions to do, and every single one of them is unique and adds a lot of creative variety to the game that I have never seen in other story games.

There’s such a calm natural energy to the game. I remember a moment where some dark/disturbing music began playing randomly as I rode my horse, it got louder and louder until I came upon a body that had been ritualistically murdered. Old Rockstar games would have played that moment as a time for humor or zaniness, but this game just kept that disturbing music going until I got on my horse and left. It was a strange feeling riding away from that body on my horse. There wasn’t a line of dialogue, but I rode away in a different state of mind, thinking about the evil that exists in the world

The realism from the NPC’s to the environment and gameplay, this game is the most real to date. This game is the only game I don’t fast travel!

RDR 2 is the culmination of 8 years of developers pouring their heart and soul into it and budget that hasn't been surpassed till this very day and what you get is the most polished, detailed, and lively open world game to date, you may not like it but you cant deny its one of the greatest achievements in any work of fiction not just gaming and thats even ignoring the top tier story with one of the best protagonists ever.

Just finished RDR 2 about a week ago. I'm 51 years old and this game is, hands down, the best game I have ever played. The story, the artwork, the gameplay, the detail, the characters... just absolutely amazing. I made my way through this journey, experiencing real emotions linked to the story and it's telling. I ended with sadness. Sadness that the story is over and the world within will never be experienced with again with the same open canvas of newness to it. Hats off to everyone who was involved in the creation of this game for giving me a legendary memory.

I've played over 700 hours of Red Dead Redemption 2. In that time, I've experienced an unprecedented freedom, that's captivated me greatly. I liked the story, and characters, but the world is what truly left me in awe. Oh the wonders I've unearthed, with few left to discover. Although overtime my passion has waned, this is unequivocally the best game I've ever played.

This game is a piece of art, the magnum opus in gaming industry, the perfect definition of a single player game, a storytelling at its finest, an experience that everyone must try at least once in their life.

I'm replaying RDR2 for the first time since 2018-2019 and it's been an awesome experience. I spent two hours the other day just riding around and I was completely engaged with the world. So many random events, so many animals to discover, the soundtrack gives me goosebumps. I can nitpick about a couple of things but I won't, this is a true masterpiece.

Something that i really like about the game is that even though allot of missions follow the same structure (ride somewhere, shoot someone, ride away) the game does an amazing job of not making you feel like your doing the same stuff over and over. You really feel part of the world and the graphics are amazing

You cant give this game too much love. It's the pinnacle of story telling in games. It will have a place in my heart forever.

Standing ovation stuff.... Certainly raised the bar for what we can experience in these types of worlds. The story telling, gameplay, overall amount of content... Well Done to all involved. If we can use this as an example of what we can possibly expect and experience in future... Us gamers could be in good hands.
