Hi Recipe for Success Network,

You all have asked me a lot for suggestions or thoughts on different project management courses. Today, I'm going to share my thoughts on how to decide what sort of a course is right for you: education course that provides project management information or a prep course that's more geared towards exam/certification preparation. I have 5 popular options that I'm going to review and share some relevant information on. If you're interested in expanding your career or moving into project management in 2022, then watch this video on 5 popular project management courses to determine which is the best fit and option for you! In order to decide which course is the best for you, I would focus on what are your goals and objectives for the course, what you want to achieve overall and what your budget is. Some of these courses can get very pricey, so you want to make sure you understand your potential ROI and the purpose before investing your hard-earned money.

If you are interested in taking any of these courses or want more information see the links below. All of 2021 I was Interested I'm PM and doing the Google PM course-
Finally took the leap and started it in January!
The course is excellent- very good for beginners and is only gonna take me about 2 months (it's 6 courses and each course takes about 3 days if you dedicate yourself but I have college and a full time job+social life lmao) I'm already on course 3 and I definitely recommend it for the value! Another thing I did to step up in 2022 was research and build a solid LinkedIn account which I definitely recommend to all my PM peers out there!
Good luck everyone and Happy New Year!

Emma, Thanks so much for the info. I’m wanting a career change and I’m looking at a couple things that interest me. One being project management and other digital marketing. I already have a business degree. These online courses interest me. Hoping this year I can finally make something happen.

Hello Emma, I came across your channel looking into the Google certificates reviews and love your content! I don't work in the industry but I am curious about different entry level positions to possibly transition into. My question related to PM is how many hours a week are typically required to be successful in the field and what are the advancement possiblities within a tech company with a PM background? I personally am accustomed to 50 to 60 hour work weeks so that doesn't scare me, but i was wondering if that is what is required in your field as well. Thanks again for putting out the useful information.

Thanks for all of your helpful information. I think I am going to suck it up and take the PMI Project Management Bootcamp. They offer one that is 5 days. I have vowed to invest in myself this year and would like to possibly make more money. I have a degree and I am looking for something that would make me more appealing to possible employers.

Hello Emma, as always, thanks for putting up the helpful content. I am curious to ask - I believe I heard from your other videos that when you started on your career in project management, that you jumped straight into a formal project manager role. What was your experience like to bear the responsibilities of a Project Manager coming with no formal experience prior? How much do you think it would have helped you if you instead started as a Project Coordinator to prepare for the responsibilities of a Project Manager?

Finishing the Data Scientist class from Johns Hopkins currently but thanks to my girlfriend I am constantly listening to Scrum and PMP talk. Considering dipping a toe into it at some point.

Hello Emma, thank you for wonderful insights! Can you please discuss some adjacent certificates + skills that are not directly related to IT project management but definitely can help, like UX research for example. I am sure there are many more you've encountered in your experience.

Hi Emma,

Hi Emma,
Thank you for the video.
Last year I got my CAPM certification and now I am looking for a more specific course in Cost Management so I can develop my skills in this area.
Do you recommend any courses? All courses that I find are general and introductory courses of Project Management.

Also in your experience do you think it is important to have a university/college course in Project Management, or CAPM is enough when looking for a job?

Thank you

Hello, I’m Joseph Phillips CAPM course, how does one actually gain experience? I have a degree but work in a call center with no room for me to get experience.

After watching your video on Google PMP I started working on gaining the certification and have been working to start looking of PM jobs. Since I don't have prior PM experience in my career so far, I;m finding it hard to get my resume picked up by employers. Also, I'm confused if i should discredit my existing years of experience in another industry and look for entry-level jobs for PM roles or if there is a way to leverage the years into a new role. Could you speak to this ?
