Jesse (Ethan Hawke) laments what could have been if he and Celine (Julie Delpy) had met in Vienna like they'd planned all those years ago.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Richard Linklater directs the romantic drama Before Sunset, a sequel to Before Sunrise (1995). Jesse (Ethan Hawke) and Celine (Julie Delpy) were strangers who spent a loquacious night together in Vienna. Nine years later, Jesse has written a book about the encounter. During his accelerated European book tour, he reunites with Celine in Paris. Before Jesse's flight home, he joins Celine for a picturesque walk around Paris peppered with intimate conversation: at first, about the minutiae of their day-to-day lives and their relationships, and then about their lingering feelings for one another. Before Sunset was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.

i think i watched this movie on dvd over 10 times... and just im watching it and its 2018... very intellectual and romantic in different sense.

Her grandma would want her to go meet Jesse instead of attending the funeral. But this is more real, ppl missed connect back then, no iphones. God i miss those days!

My gf and me just broke up, and i am totally broken. Devastated. I just woke and this scene popped into my mind. I guess when you're young.. etc. ". We're not young, well in our souls we are. She is 39, feeling 33, I am 58, feeling 33. It is not different. And indeed i learned, yes connections like these are extremely rare, maybe 1 or 2 times a lifetime. Hm.. no only once a life-time. The art and irony of living is that you fully realize it when it's gone. Casual love does not exist. If it is casual, it is not love.
