I remember when Covid kicked in. I was bored, depressed, and looking for something to lift my spirits up. I watched this, started a garden, followed her recipes, and learned how to cook. Now I can cook amazing meals for my family that I never thought possible. She has done so much!

I’m so glad that people who may have been searching about the other kind of depression found Clara instead

She may be gone but I'd like to nominate her for YouTube's best grandma

Her words "We were more of a family during the Depression" brought tears to my eyes. It's true. Hard times forge strong bonds. Your grandmother knew this well.

2024 and I still click on Clara's video when they're suggested. She was such a sweetheart and I really enjoy watching her cook her meals her way...as well as listen to her history.

To her grandson: thank you for preserving this treasure trove of wisdom & how-to information/recipes. We're losing these people at an alarming rate, & if their knowledge isn't recorded it's lost forever. Hoping you'll do more of this with other members of her generation as a tribute to her memory. RIP Clara, & thank you.

"It looks good, I could eat it right now!" As she looks at her grandson like "did I say the right thing?" Such a sweetheart

How cool that a 93 year old lady was one of the first YouTube stars.

Real men cry right? I am sitting here watching Clara and crying my eyes out. I miss my Grandma and Great Grandma so much. I used to love sitting at their feet on the floor and hearing them tell stories about the Depression. My Great Grandma taught me how to cook all of the Depression meals. She taught me how to sow. Gosh I miss them so much.
