Sarah is such an amazing woman to have lived through this gut wrenching level of trauma and come out so strong, educated & determined to create change. It’s so hard to break a generational cycle of domestic violence. It takes so much personal growth. I have so much respect for her. Thank you for sharing her story & her beautiful mothers story with us. I hesitated to watch this one because it involved a child & those are the ones typically I can’t stomach, but somehow this story left me feeling hope because of how the young daughter turned into such a strong powerful advocate. I have PTSD & trauma & haven’t quite made it to the other side yet & this girl has been through far more than me, as a young child & I’m a grown woman. What a beautiful legacy to her mother. Thank you K for the way you allow us to get to know the victims in these tragedies ❤

My first car was a 1972 blue and white VW convertible bug with an 8 track player, lol . The car was older than I was my two best friends and I went to the thrift store and bought 8 tracks !!! It was a hunk of junk, but we loved it, and took it everywhere.
They both had newer cars
in the 90s but we always took mine!! The places and stories that car held is priceless.

This really hits home with me because I saw my parents fight with words and fist for most of my childhood. I thought it was normal for so long and found myself in the same kind of relationships. But then I broke the cycle and met an amazing person who I’m now married to and I make it my mission to give my kids what I didn’t have a home they feel safe in.
