During my visit to in Hollywood I had a look at the place where Janis Joplin, a.k.a. “The Queen Of Psychedelic Soul” passed away. Janis was found dead in room 105 of the famous "Landmark Hotel" (which is now called "Highland Gardens Hotel") on October 4, 1970 at the age of 27....

My family lived here then. She played with us children at the pool. I remember her being taken out of her room on on a stretcher the day of her death. She was nice Lady. Also staying there then was EWF, The Chambers Brothers, Cannon Ball Adderley's group, some actors from the tv show Laugh In...

Dopo tutto quello che le capitò quando era ragazzina a scuola a Port Arthur, dovette pure finire col diventare dipendente da droghe ed alcolici, e morire in quel modo nemmeno trentenne.
