Janis Joplin died 50 years ago this Sunday, aged just 27.
Janis Lyn Joplin (January 19, 1943 – October 4, 1970) was an American singer-songwriter who sang rock, soul and blues music. One of the most successful and widely known rock stars of her era, she was noted for her powerful mezzo-soprano vocals and "electric" stage presence.

She passed in 1970 yet now in 2022 we are still talking about her. How many of her classmates who were so cruel to her mean any thing to anybody they must be so proud of theirselves ? She had more talent in the first joint of her little finger then those nobodies who mocked her !!

Shes a legend. Where are her classmates who mocked her? What are they feeling when they think of the cruel ways they treated her? Or do they feel at all. Janis will forever be loved. Not for her music. No. She will be loved for her heart. She never hurt anyone but herself. She always tried to help those who had less than she had. She was genuine. What you saw is what you got with janis. No hidden agendas. She was too beautiful for this world. God has claimed her tortured soul. Cant wait to see her someday. God bless.

Very gifted lady, gone far too soon. Those responsible for being cruel to her play a large part in her addictions. Low self esteem leads too low self worth. On stage she was the queen of rock, away from that she was a broken human being.

I think that School Reunion she went to. Caused some damage.
She was Bullied all the time at school. Called names she ended up accepting their invitation for school Reunion. Because she wanted to show them. She made something of herself and she was proud. But they still carried on with their prejudices and laughing at her.
She left Her home town vowing never to go back. She was off Heroin and things seemed to be working out for her. But after that school reunion. It all went down hill. Just my opinion.
