If you're searching for how to make YouTube videos, you are in the right place! In this video we're going to chat about how *I* plan, film, and edit and how the process is different depending on what "type" of YouTuber you are.

Oh - and, a 2021 is CRAZY life update.

The equipment I used to film this video:

Oh and follow me!

Thanks for this, its exactly what I'm working on right now! I'm so glad you addressed more than just the talking head type of videos. I'm jealous of your studio space!

I hope you don't mind if I share a thought about your studio. I'm a dye mistress (I dye yarn and spinning wool) and color is my job. Both putting it on the yarn, and also helping customers choose what to knit with when they will be wearing the finished product next to their face. I know you love the big colorful walls in the studio, but I want to offer a word of caution. The yellow, especially, is casting a yellow tone, and it will probably make most people look a little jaundiced. Unfortunately, the orange and green in the space also have a lot of yellow in them and are generally not flattering colors either. You can probably correct some with lighting, but yellow will be hard, its why we always try for daylight bulbs and not incandescent. If you decide to change the colors, just keep in mind how they will reflect light onto you or guests. For what its worth, peach color is generally universally flattering or neutral to all skin tones with very few exceptions. If you really want to keep them, you can probably work around it with some wall art and plants, and other decor to cover some of it so it doesn't cast as much color, and I'm sure most people won't notice as much as someone who works with color a lot. There's also a whole psychology behind colors, so if you're going to make changes, you might be interested in researching that a bit. Its the reason toothpaste tubes usually are blue, green and white, sports teams are primary and secondary complimentary colors, eco product packaging is green and brown, etc. Colors evoke emotions and ideas. :)

I just found your channel recently and I'm loving it so far. Off to watch more of your excellent advice!

Jessica, Great Video! But am I the only one concerned with the fact that an air filter doesn't go behind a cold air return vent cover? 😬

Literally the same thing happened to me but with my knee. I planned all kinds of workout stuff for 2021 and then I slipped in the rain and really messed everything up. Hopefully we will both be back at it soon.
