The Crusader M2 Hercules Starlifter costs quite a bit more than the C2 Hercules. Does it have enough advantages to justify adding it to your Star Citizen hangar?

Surprised you didn't mention armour... Depending on how it's introduced it could greatly separate the two when it comes to some trading. It's confirmed armour will make the difference between some sized weapons being able to pen at all, and also confirmed the M2 is better armoured leaving the M2 as a better choice for trading in dangerous areas whether you have an escort or not. Sure the C2 is a better trader if you take just cargo size but that just assumes you'll never get shot at.

Now? Maybe... Later? Definitely. When armor values come into place, the M2, Carrack and similarly armored ships with decent cargo will really shine when it comes to off-the-grid hauling and danger zone deliveries. Right now you could probably get away with the c2 over the m2 though. I'm all about protection when it comes to hauling personally. So the m2 really shines for me.

I'm more impressed with the Hercules than I thought I would be. I'm flying it more than most other ships currently, except when I need a medbay. The M2 will be more useful in the future, when those jump seats and oxygen supplies become important. For now, not much point beyond C2. I have both due to BMM loaner.

Great video. One is a cargo ship, where the cargo can be vehicles, the other with a much thicker armour and some extra guns is a vehicle dropship into a hot zone... with space in the second deck for vehicle operators and their gear... although it can carry sone cargo too. I got the M2. I am aiming next year for a third Kraken and Idris.

With a warbond BMM from last Alienweek one can build the M2 for the same price as C2.

You missed the most important part, Armour, and its not for hot zone landings or ground Defense. Seats in bad weather stop broken bones. Troops aboard to protect boarding attempts and so much more.

Love the Vid 100%, I love the ship line I own all 3 of them. The one thing that gets me is the Negative space on all 3 of them, There is no need for that, and takes away playable space for no reason, just like the Hammerhead no need for the Negative space. But that is how they were made just wish they had thought about that beforehand.

I just recently found out they took those special commodities out of the journal and cargo is no longer viable again. It was only a trial.

Thanks for this M2 is thick C2 ain't got no back bro. :) Its a meaty hauler that has a few more features. More ARMOR for one and a coffee pot on the way. I went to the M2 from a C2 for 80 bucks. Last week.
