The Best Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe

Ingredients;
- 1 large onion
- 2 celery sticks
- 3 garlic cloves
- Handful basil leaves
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 500g mince beef
- 2x 400g plum tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 fresh bay leaves
- 2 tbsp tomato pure
- 1 beef stock
- 125ml cheap red wine
- 5 cherry tomatoes

Method;
1 - Finally chop your onions, garlic, celery, rosemary & carrots
2 - Heat a pan with 1 tbsp olive oil [low to medium heat]
3 - Throw in your onions, garlic, celery, rosemary & carrots and cook for around 10 mins until veg is translucent - Don’t forget to season with pinch of salt and pepper!
5 - Cook beef for around 3-5 mins or until brown
6- Add 2 tins plum tomatoes, the finely chopped leaves from basil, 1 tsp dried oregano, 2 bay leaves, 2 tbsp tomato purée, 1 beef stock cube, 125ml red wine and 5 halved cherry tomatoes. Stir with a wooden spoon, breaking up the plum tomatoes.
7 - Bring to the boil, reduce to a gentle simmer and cover with a lid. Cook for 1 hr 15 mins stirring occasionally, until you have a rich, thick sauce
8 - When the bolognese is nearly finished, cook 400g spaghetti following the pack instructions.
9 - Serve & enjoy 😍
