This is 💯 accurate. In life you will face many... Many hateful people and you will have to stand up for yourself. No one will do your fighting for you... Except you! So... Put on your gloves and Fight! Eye of the tiger!!!

I’ve been at this company for less than a year. 6-7 mos to be exact and I was told I was going on a pip today. I’ve had both glowing performance reviews and critiques. I’m not fighting it I’m just going to leave once I get a new job.

My job gave me a TWO week window from the time I started before sending me a PIP via email. My supervisor told me that they weren’t even able to meet the insane standard from the client but here i am.. with my job on the line

Excellent and useful content as always. You've heard of silent quitting, well PIPs are used as the documentary stage of legal 'silent sacking' when companies choose to reduce head count, a way without triggering redundancy politics.

The UK's ACAS is heavily back logged, probably due to recent over hiring.

I believe the VERY first thing to do is to line up a new job.

I like this approach good tips... I had a situation where they claimed I was late on a few days, which was true but they magnified that as me needing this plan as an excuse ..

It was like this in my last place. I was getting glowing reviews for 2 years. New boss comes along, suddenly I am put on a pip.

I was put on a PIP after 20 years of being at the same employment. It took me switching areas, and being under someone different, I know that from the beginning he was targeting me. I am fighting tooth and nail to keep my job but I know I wont. He will find a way to get me gone.

I’m challenging the PIP! My mgr who always trusted me, has set me up to fail. I’ve gone to her boss, told him (& another director) that “I feel bullied (she said condescending things and treats me differently) and set me up for failure, and that I’m being targeted!

Yesterday I did meet with HR and told her “a lot of the things listed in the PIP are not accurate.”

My reply to my manager and her boss was that the PIP doesn’t have any measurable goals or a way to identify whether or not I’m on target. It’s completely subjective rather than objective. And has no roadmap to set me up for success as a PIP is supposed to have…

I’m fighting back on this! They’ll have to fire me because I’m not quitting! I’ve been documenting everything and have spoken to the people I’m supposed to speak to.

Everything I do in response to the PIP is strategic because this PIP is complete BS! I’m doing this in a smart way because if/when they do fire me, I’ll be suing them!

My boss put me on a two week "PIP" without ever giving me one on one meetings before, just out of the blue basing his performance review on feedback from senior techs, despite the fact that in almost a year and a half I only had maybe 3 escalations from customers and not serious ones, and basing it all on an oral exam I had taken with two senior techs that were overlooking the exam performance. Now, whenever they asked me to be on pager duty, I would gladly do it, now per company policy because of my "low performance" I am not able to pursue other positions within the company.

I was put on a PIP due to performance and it was because I lost the hearing in my ear due to stress from a manager who is a bully and likes to intimidate I didn’t file
For FMLA should I file for FMLA now that I’m on a Pip

I had an emergency surgery and i was out for 2 months. The first day i came back, before I could start, i was sent to HR. I was told they were going to write me up before i left for FMLA because people didnt like me. Then i was given a PIP. My performance is not even in question. Idk even know what to do

I have a question. How about if you are part of a union and received a PIP? what would be the best course of action?

What if the PIP is subjective with no concrete ways to measure success? Is that just how they are written?

I have a friend that works for a startup. They have been hiring all their old coworkers and put my friend on a pip no formal docs with nothing signed. She feels like they are finding a reason to fire her because they want their old coworkers instead. As a startup there have never been formal docs for performance reviews and they have never said anything prior to the pip. Any advice please? It’s only 30 days can she ask for longer to get more time to look for another job.
