In this video (second of three parts), jeweler, teacher and expert John Sartin of the Rio Grande Jewelry Tech team demonstrates how to correctly use the L45 hydrogen torch system and provides information about selecting and installing a torch tip. He discusses how to safely light, then extinguish the flame, and offers safety steps to protect operators, avoid flash-backs, and prevent damage to the tip and torch.

Rio Grande stands for makers who create with their hands and their hearts and who are courageous enough to make jewelry their livelihood.

Thanks for the great tutorial. I have this exact unit albeit used and has needed some parts, advice, and guidance via one of the amazing tech, repair support people at Rio Grande. (Michael)
I am just putting my combustion chamber / tank back on and it’s a little loose. Is this normal. I have all of my O rings, gaskets brand new in and followed the backing off then tightening not too tight lol. So is this normal or ? The chamber moves only when I handle to see if it’s tight. I can’t remember how it was when I took off to clean etc.
thanks
I can’t find this anywhere in my manual.
Many thanks from RIO’s awesome Customer Service crew.

If you were to use a tip at the wrong setting and got a flashback does the line have a flashback arrestor or something else in place to prevent the....big boom!💥 I can’t help but imagine?

Nice presentation.

I wonder this machine feeds hydrogen only or mixed oxygen with hydrogen ?

Actually you will feel a flow of HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN when you switch on and start producing just hydrogen...…...don't make false statements they will confuse those people who are new to this is after a common HHO gas producer.
