Ford’s slogan in the 80s and 90s was Quality is Job 1. Apparently that isn’t the case anymore.

I have a bunch of old fords. My most reliable is a 1996 F350 long wheel base crew cab with a 7.3. It has 365k and still runs like a champ. My newest vehicle is a 2010 it runs pretty good . I refuse to buy anything newer. I live in a no rust area of the country so my 3 1994 f150's all run great and the kids use them everyday.

I've been a Ford guy all my life but after my most recent, and learning that all of their vehicles are made the same (if not worse), I'll never own another. I liked owning an American made vehicle that didn't cost an arm and a leg to maintain/repair, but those days are long gone. My next vehicle will likely be a Honda.

Unfortunately, Scotty is right all this technology has made cars too complicated. Once that truck passes 80000 miles it will become a money pit. Then it will become too expensive to repair.

I'm old enough to remember a time when engineers weren't idiots.

The executives at Ford should watch this video, and then fix all their cars!

I’ve owned 2 expeditions, Both of which I still drive. My 2003 Eddie Bauer has 270k miles and counting. My 2015 which I bought last year with 81.5k miles now has 109k miles 0 issues with either vehicle. I’m sticking with these until they straighten this quality thing out!

The 2021 F-150's had all kinds of chip issues! My 2021 F-150 was replaced by Ford with a 2022 F-150 under Michigan Lemon Law. I only had 300 miles on it and I couldn't safely drive it or tow my boat because of constant electrical fault messages and the turn signals not working right. The Ford dealer tore out the dash twice and replaced the APIM Module 2X, but nothing would fix my problems. A Ford engineer neighbor told me to get out of my lease as quick as possible due to all the defects. On a good note, FoMoCo replaced the truck with a 2022 F-150 XLT with all the same options and it is GREAT. No issues at all and everything works fine. They also reloaded all my lease miles and said I could buy the truck at the end of the lease at the 2021 price, if interested. That means I could get a $63, 247 truck for $43, 000. I plan on buying it!

Having a 2014 Expedition with the V8, I can say that it has been a very reliable and trouble-free vehicle so far. Very basic too, compared to the oversized iPad on wheels in this video.

I'm an unhappy owner of a 21 F-150 Powerboost. Between all the issues I've had, the awful service experience, and the recalls, I will never buy another Ford vehicle. Great video.

Oh man! I just rented one in January for a ski trip, it was a '22 4WD Expedition Max. About 2 hours into the drive on the highway when trying to pass someone the transmission would SLAM down a gear and I would lose all power. After a few times the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the Pre Collision Assist warning came on and the car went into limp mode! What a piece of JUNK! Take it up to 65mph and then mash the gas and see what happens when it downshifts.

We rented a 2022 expedition king ranch. That twin turbo v6 is a rocketship for a huge vehicle. We loved it but didn't have to live with it. Drove it hard and returned it.

I had an 82 F150 with a 4.9 (300) inline 6cyl with a 2 barrel carb and a 3spd automatic transmission and still got 21mpg on the freeway.
It didn’t have any smog crap and it did just fine. It was a Great pickup and I sold it with almost 600K miles and it still wasn’t burning oil

Wife has a 2020 Edge Titanium and it was a pain in the butt until I had the dealer update the software. Loved it since.

I bought a new F150 XL in 2020. Standard cab 8 ft bed with crank manual windows, manual door locks & seats. No extra bells & whistles. Does have a/c, intermittant wipers, back up camera, aux audio input & a usb power port. 3.3 litre naturally aspirated & 6 speed automatic tranny. So far after 26 months of ownership I have been extremely happy with it. I have found that the more extra unnecessary garbage on a vehicle the morre problems you will have. Go basic for reliability.
