I tried explaining this to my wife a couple of years ago that electric cars are worse for the environment than modern cars plus the amount of power stations that need to be built will have a greater impact on resources than modern cars, the tree huggers never let you know that a volcanic eruption causes a lot of pollutants and damage to the atmosphere

The only EVs that make any sense are trains, trams and maybe buses hooked up to the main power grid. BEVs, (half a ton battery pack) to move one or two people around is an environmental joke.

Hydrogen is the answer. Similar to existing technology like gas, just needs some adjustments. Unless there's a huge development in batteries, there's no way EV's are going to be a standard anytime soon.
