I got to see that great white shark in monterey twice. It was pretty small but still a cool experience and glad to hear it made it out alive.

Two questions....how do the archeologists decide the color of the dinosaurs and how do they decide which sounds were made? Is it all guess work?

TY VERY MUCH for bringing that up Katrina, these creatures belong in their NATURAL HABITAT not locked in cages for humans to ogle at!! Oh, when the Swallows come back to Capistrano. Incorrect about DNA surviving longer than 500 years, they have recovered viable DNA in the form of liquid blood from creatures thawed out from Permafrost in Siberia, Alaska, etc. I would love to have a Padparasha Sapphire in my collection, would also love to have even more Black Opal. Serendibite, hmmm, very interesting, have to look into this one. Oh my, those beautiful Alexandrites, Emerald by day Ruby by night, I only wish mine were larger than they are. But Cleopatra had Olivine, otherwise known as Peridot, unknowingly thinking they were Emeralds. Others in Ancient times were also mistaken in the same way, some even thought Red Spinel were Rubies, and placed in crowns etc.

When l was a child l LOVED going to the zoo. As an adult l saw how stressed out many of the animals were, and didn't like it as much. However zoos do some good conservation work. For example our zoo discovered rare turtles in a habitat remnant in an industrial area and actively worked to preserve them. If they were not a big institution with lots of money, the city would not listen to them.

There are two full skeletons of that bird in existance. Mine also has the color of the feathers imprinted into the stone, found in a shale deposit. Found in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania in 1972 but at present is unreachable. I put it in a secret place but while we were overseas that space got bricked in. No way to get it out right now.
