I love this stuff but can you get the cat off the piano!

Really interesting but that piano background sound (refuse to call it music) is awful.

The Hunley didn't have a large air supply, and when the torpedo they used to sink Housatonic exploded, the explosion didn't kill the Hunley's crew outright. The shockwave from the explosion would have rendered them unconscious. They would have suffocated in the small space of the submarines interior before they could regain consciousness.

The ship is probably not the Fry; it was visible at low tide until about 1910, at which time the army corp of engineers demolished it. it's remains were still on maps until 1920.

They probably noticed it easy without all the damn light pollution now.

I heard the Hunley is haunted, people guarding it would hear noises coming from it. I think anytime you have a situation where people died like that there is a chance some don't move on.

I think factories run by penguins on Venus is a pretty reasonable theory.

How are we are still stuck with "12 most recent amazing archeology discoveries that scientist still can't believe" with a 19 decibel voice track and 64 decibel song track between each "discovery". Why can't they just keep the volume at the same level?? It's 2021 and you wouldn't think this was still an issue. How am I supposed to get to sleep with the music in-between being louder than my alarm clock?

I so wish I hadn't grown up where I did or maybe even when, and would've been able to be more involved in archeological digs or other explorative adventures during this present incarnation, or perhaps been in a much more in depth educational system than the one offered to students in rural Appalachia, it was extremely limited in it's scope and narrowly focused on becoming a worker bee in the industrial complex of the era with little hope for upward mobility or advancement without great wealth behind you or your family at the time of my life, I was the youngest of 5 boys and 2 went to college and none ever worked in the field of their study and one, plus one of the other "college boys" joined the military and the other 2 of us worked the trades, and although I had a good life and saw much of the country and did quite well my other worker bee brother killed himself and I never quite felt I had done what I was meant to do as far as my calling, but such are the dreams of youth huh?

Americans make me laugh. Perfectly pronouncing Mayan, Egyptian, Israeli and Dutch names; however ask them to pronounce a English name like "Gloucester" or "Worcestershire" and they sound like English is a second language to them.
