I think it's so weird to me as a Bi, because people say " You are Bissexual, because you're "CONFUSED " ... confused of what? And end up in straight relationship because women never gave me the opportunity.... so, what can I do! ... also, the cheating part .... if you are straight person, you don't think your partner will cheat on you with someone from the opposite gender ? Or a Lesbian woman won't get cheated on with another woman, ... same difference ... why being Bi, is such a stereo type thing 🤔... makes me exhausted 😩

Being a gay woman is hard. The hate you get for refusing to serve the patriarchy is hard. Ive seen too many bisexual women go back to men because of it. Its just risky. Gay women are fully committed because we CANT be happy with men. Its just different.

As a lesbian I can give you perspective:

Every lesbian knows a lesbian who has been hurt by a bi woman in ways that only a bi woman can (usually) inflict pain. A lot of it has to do with the heteronormativity that forces its way into the relationship from the bi woman's end, being cheated on for a man, having the woman not be a bi woman at all and just some bi questioning straight girl using the label (an increasing problem), or even a bi woman using the lesbian label to get with lesbians who don't want to date bi women.

This is not to say that all bi women indulge in this behaviour, but it is to be honest and tell you that almost every lesbian has experienced this kind of thing from specifically bi women. Enough lesbians have had trauma with them to band together and form a hate group essentially, and it does not help that these experiences of lesbian women tend to be dismissed and shut down or just unheard a lot of the time.

A simple reminder that the word stereotype means an exaggerated truth. Not a lie. The fact that this stereotype exists at all implies that it was once (or still is) an issue people faced from the bi community.

Yeah i feel this fr. In a lot of my relationships with non-bisexuals my partner would have that insecurity and those relationships never worked out for me.

I’m out to family and friends but sometimes it’s so hard at work to not correct the homophobes or use myself as an example to tell them their wrong when they are being prejudiced but I just don’t want the heat. I’m bi and have bin in a relationship with a male for 8 years but I know people will assume I’m a cheater or permisucous

I'm bi sexual and never had a problem dating a lesbian woman. They never even mentioned by past male relationships or had any issues with my bi sexuality. Iv been with a gay woman for 4 years now and she only generally dated bi women. Never experienced anything mentioned in this video, maybe it's more relaxed in the UK, or maybe it's because I'm in my 40's, that lesbians are maturing and being more secure in themselves. My partner started on the gay scene as a teenager over 20 years ago and from a small conservative ex mining town in Yorkshire, she never experienced many lesbian woman she hung around with or knew of on the scene and personally, never seemed to have issues with bi sexual women, nor did they not want to date bi sexual women.

Every lesbian is different. For me, I wouldn't date Bi girls. It's a preference don't mean I hate on them.
