This video is a continuation of the multiplication and division videos. It teaches learners how to multiply a 3-digit number by a 2-digit number using the written method - long multiplication.

National Curriculum Objectives:
Year 5: Multiply numbers up to 4 digits by a one- or two-digit number using a formal written method, including long multiplication for two-digit numbers.

CfW Progression Step 2: I have explored and can use my understanding of multiplicative relationships to multiply and divide whole numbers, using a range of representations, including sharing, grouping and arrays.

Not only whole numbers
it works with decimals too
because 9.9 x 1.01 = 99.99 close by 99.99 + 0.01 = 10 or 10, 000/100

But that first one is wrong because I checked in the lattice method the answer was 5152
