2020 718 Porsche Boxster Spyder Top Operation With Start Up!!

2020 718 Porsche Boxster Spyder Top Operation is very similar to the previous generation! Since the introduction of the first generation 987.2 Boxster Spyder at the LA auto show in 2009 this manual top operation beauty has been stunning to look at with very nice body lines. From the beginning the Spyder has always been a manually operated top Boxster, however has become much easier over the years!

This new generation 718 Spyder comes equipped with a 4.0 liter 414 hp engine with a proper manual transmission! Porsche has once again shown us why they are one of the top sports car manufactures on the planet! Although this newest iteration beats its older brother in every aspect I do have one compliant.... it sounds quite as good as its predecessor! Don't get me wrong it has a great sound....just not the same amazing symphony coming out the rear as before.

Boxster Spyder's tend to hold there value very well... take the 2016 981 model for example... with a starting price of $83,085 with most in the mid to high 90's after some options had been added. Many are still transacting anywhere between low 80's to mid 90's depending on miles and options! Thats NUTS.... to have a car still selling for a similar price as to what they sold for 4 years ago new and now with some miles... especially for not being a GT car or R. Long story short you can enjoy a Spyder over the course of the next several years and drive it on the weekends and virtually loose very little value! If you are in the market for a Porsche I would high recommend taking a look at Boxster Spyders!!

That is a beautiful car. The dark wheels go well with the white and Spyder Classic interior, and black top, I don't think you could do better, even with GT Silver. I don't think I would pay over sticker. The GTS 4.0 has a normal roof, less harsh ride, and better sound isolation, but the Spyder is special. I feel the Spyder is more of a low mile collectors car, if you really want to drive a lot, you would get the GTS 4.0.

Actually the engine is not related to the GT3, it is based on the 911 3.0 liter twin turbo. Dropped the turbos and bored & stroked.

Not only is that a lot of work but I also don't like the way it looks with the top up at all. That being said is it one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen with the top down. I would rather have the GT4 though as I would have the top up 90% of the time, I burn easily so I don't do direct sunlight anymore when it is warm/hot out.
