When I was in High School on the swim team, we had a Breaststroker that was 6' 4" and had a genetic deformity where the ligaments in his knees failed because he grew too fast. When surgery was performed to correct this problem, he was knock kneed. This, with his height, gave him almost a super human kick in the Breaststroke. His times approached Free Style times, and he could beat all of the Backstrokers on our team, of which I was one of them. His parents took him off of the team, saying that they needed him on the farm, but I think they didn't want him to compete because it wasn't fair. We could have used that guy. He was a first year swimmer, and he probably could have been the best Breaststroker ever.

People need to realise that you can be a cis person and have untraditional chromosomes. I learned in an entry level biology class that it’s actually very normal to have an untraditional karyotype. Your chromosomes alone can’t prove your sex. A cis woman could go get a karyotype and her chromosomes might not be XX, but she’s still a cis woman (literally assigned female at birth). You can’t rely on a karyotype. Besides, this shit is a slippery slope of complete privacy and body invasion.

Serena Williams was torn appart on every platform because she cleaned like a champion on the field! She was mocked for her appearance and accused of being a man ! At this moment an American rugby athlete is under attacks and accused of being a man ! How many more athletes have to go through this?
The IBA is no reference in what they did to the two athletes back then.
The same IBA that was stripped of its status as the global governing body for boxing by the IOC in June last year due to failures on reforms on governance, finance and ethical issues.

I don't think biological men should compete against women, but I think this is an entirely different situation. Imane Khelif, and women like Caster Semenya, are literally working with what they were born with. They are women with genetic advantages and that's not really different than someone excelling at basketball because they have genetics that allows them to reach a height of 7 feet.

Correction: it's never been officially stated that she has DSD. This has been suggested by people based on the "failed gender test results" from the IBA. All that was officially stated by the IBA is that "she failed a gender test, and it was not a testosterone test". This association is closely linked to Russia and has been banned by the IOC due to corruption. Make of that what you will, but it's certainly not enough information to assume that Imane has any condition with even a moderate degree of certainty.

This happened to the South African runner, Caster Semenya. She also has an intersex condition that gave her high natural testosterone levels. She was winning races but not breaking any records, but she was still banned from competing in certain events due to having an "unfair advantage".
