SG you got to have your graphics team highlight the points on the map with a flash or arrow when you mention the place, one is lost looking for the points on the map while trying to stay focused to what you conveying to us

One thing which caught my attention was the mention that Indian infrastructure in that area has increased dramatically. But for Modi, it would have remained desolate and easy picking for the Chinese. Hope the Congress remembers this whenever they try to needle the Govt. about "huge losses" in those areas to Chinese forces.

If losing access to some patrolling points by India is “something”, then China losing access to some patrolling points is ALSO something.

Really love The Print for such detailed analysis. Both Shekhar Gupta and Snehesh Alex Phillips are doing a great service to India by not siding with any political narrative. Thankyou Team 'The Print'.

Excellent analysis Shekhar. I do have a question: why do we persist on using feet instead of meters? We have stopped using miles, so why use feet? Thanks.

27:55 Two corrections:-

1) Demchok is not where COK is at its narrowest

2) Aksai Chin is a Chinese name. Kindly refer to it as Chinese Occupied Kashmir

Shekhar ji, This is a welcome sign. But we need to see that it is not in sync with the China policy of Gain 2 inch and then concede 1 inch as compromise gaining 1 inch in the process.

We must not concede the legitimate, legal and strategic position.

It's a message to USA that disputes can be resolved if USA n Canada keeps pushing the wrong way.

I watched this video 3 times, and I'm still scratching my head on what exactly has happened. There're so many points of disengagement, its hard to keep track what was discussed when. As much informative the digressions are, can that be skipped for such long-winded discussions?

Shekhar - You need to cover where this is coming for, the real reason for PRC pulling back, the larger geopolitical context to all this! And what will be next.

Dear SG, One thing which can be corrected, Karakoram pass is very far away from Gilgit Xinjiang highway. There is no threat to that highway from the Indian side from Karakoram pass.
