Did Mojang Secretly Reveal Minecraft 1.21?

Minecraft 1.21 is currently the mysterious next update. earlier this year in the joke vote update snapshot minecraft added new redstone, new potions, and even a whole new dimension. is any of this actually a teaser for minecraft 1.21?

Definitely think mojang should have more potions. Imagine using the sniffer seeds/plants for new effects like a glowing effect that makes you actually produce light with torch flower, an effect for climbing up walls (probably some limits) with maybe the mysterious blue vine plant if it's ever added, or an effect that makes mobs take damage if they hit you using pitcher plant (since the plant its based on is carnivorous i feel like it would attack if anything touched it. Basically a potion variation to thorns, but eventually it would ware off.)

A Chisel Tool that can remove 1/8 of a block for the purposes of sculpting would be absolutely amazing. It would be totally doable if they limited it to certain blocks like Quartz, Stone, Granite, Andesite, Sandstone, Dark Prismarine, and maybe Endstone.
The Place Block and Pickaxe Block would be amazing for making farms. I would never expect them to add them to the game, but I would totally love it if they did.

I think a good way to implement something close to the pickaxe block is to add cannons. Pickaxe blocks are basically tnt, something that destroys a block and drops it's items. Except tnt destroys blocks around it, cannons could be a creative way for mojang to intoduce directional explosions, tnt that only breaks whats infront of it.

They should add meteorites to the game and have it so they either do no destruction or do destroy stuff but are enabled in setting, or maybe they could be added only to the end

What we need most if anything tho is a new end game. The dragon is so old school end. And the warden isn’t supposed to be an end game boss. Its a catastrophe as mojang says. So what about an actual new end game? The end could get updated too? And maybe add some minecraft dungeons stuff?

I have a request for Mojang:



MAKE THE PICKAXE ABLE TO RIGHT CLICK ON OBJECTS! Axes can strip logs, swords (used to) block, hoes til grass to farmland, and shovels create paths on dirt. So, why not add additional functions to the pickax???

I love your videos Wattles! The addition of seasons in Minecraft is something I’ve always wanted. Maybe in the ancient city there’ll be some way to activate a mechanism that makes a new part of the structure rise up from the ground, and that has something to do with activating the portal!

I remember several Yogscast guys had a series with modded Minecraft that allowed them to build spaceships and fly to the moon and Mars. I've always wanted a revival of such a mod and series by you.

I think the best way to make a sound dimension is to make it that the dimension is fundamentally different from the overworld in some way. If the warden came from there, what ramifications would that have?

Maybe there's no natural source of light, and in fact trying to bring light from the overworld creates an entire new set of mechanics. If skulk came from that world and is the only reason there is a unique system involving it in the overworld, then what if bringing light sources from the overworld has a similar effect in the sound dimension? This also means you might have to deal with your light sources spreading like an infection similar to the skulk in the overworld.


I also don't think gravity would work the same. Since wardens are okay falling from large heights to capture prey, and they have that sound beam attack, maybe it's difficult to capture any prey at all. The gravity could be increased to the point where small falls cause a lot of damage, hence why the warden is used to taking fall damage. In other sections, the gravity might be so weak that prey could jump huge distances without effort. I think that world would probably have wide open spaces with a few floating islands throughout, which would be why the Warden needs the sonic boom, bit then there's a surface that has much higher gravity, hence why the warden needs to be fall-resistant.

This is all speculation, but the point is this: if Mojang adds that sound dimension, it would have to be fundamentally changed from the overworld in big ways.
