Dice is at his best when he actually drops his old persona. He earned rave reviews for his work in the Woody Allen film a few years back, too. He caught me off guard in A Star is Born. He's AWESOME in it. I wish his manager or agent would advice him to ditch the 80s bro act and just embrace his more vulnerable side because it is by far more interesting than the affectations he's putting on for Larry here. (and before you argue "this is the real Dice Clay, " no, it isn't. If I recall correctly, back in the 90s he tried to abandon the macho image and did a TV show under the guise of his real personality, but it bombed so he immediately went back to the club act.)

This is the first time I've ever seen Dice actually behave like a decent human being. No shtick..no tough guy routine...no shameless bragging about being the king of comedy...just a regular guy. Imagine how successful he would've been if he started out like this in the 80s?

It took a long time for you to get your career back on track Dice. I have been a fan for years. Be careful with this type of interview. I think maybe you're an old school guy and still think this is the Larry King that was relevant. This is different DIce. He personally hocks products and its become almost like a late night informercial. It's not Larry King anymore. Its a goof show. You worked so hard to get back. You're better than this. Hopefully you're just throwing old Larry a crumb as maybe he stood up for you back in the controversial days.
