Even clouds inside earths atmosphere do that. When they collide with each other it heats up and the frozen hydrogen particles turn into dense liquid which is heavier than air and fall down that reaction results in disturbing the atmospheric pressure and it creates wind and you get thunderbolts and lightnings because the clouds are already charged with sun’s radiation and other gas in the upper layers of atmosphere. Everything works the same
