Orthodontic Treatment for Openbite - Upper Tongue Crib Appliance

It is a habit breaker appliance used to prevent tongue thrusting or thumb sucking habit.

Any dentists out there know how common cavities are after you’ve taken out a tongue crib that was in for 3.5 years?
Mine was in for that long and it didn’t help me break the habit. It did help fix my teeth faster but now off braces and still have the habit. Now I’m dealing with cavities where the crib was placed for so long on my last molars like in the video.
