For those of you who don’t understand that Ryan Murphy creates amazing alternative universes. This show is supposed to show another world that Hollywood could have/should have/never was...

I wish Netflix actually made “Meg” and put it out in black and white. I would love to watch it

If anyone ever asks again “why do people care about representation so much?” Then they need to watch this show

Baby Gay Rock Hudson is absolutely everything, seeing him getting to actually have a boyfriend and be open... that warmed my heart. Also placing bets now, Parsons is getting an Emmy nomination

It was painfully historically inaccurate but that was kind of the point to show what COULD HAVE BEEN so I don't get why people are complaining about that
Also, Jim Parsons is an amazing and versatile actor, I literally didn't think about Sheldon Cooper once while watching this

Camille deserved so much better. While the other main characters (Archie, Jack and Rock Hudson) have MANY insight in their lives, where they are from, their conflicts and motivation (all of the men show their passion, why they wanna be in hollywood, and how long they are willing to go to achive their dreams for MANY times in the show), camille has just a few scenes developing her character. Until more than half of the show they really just don´t show enough of her. They say she is the best actress in the studio but they don´t show that, she only is shown acting 2 times before the casting (the 2 maid scenes). They cast her as the protagonist of the movie but until half the show she is NOT a protagonist in the show. The show portrays her more like an idea ("we want a black woman in a lead role") than a human character that the audience roots to overcome racism in hollywood and achieve the goal of being a successful actress. I really wish they have invested in her character development as much as with the men.

You left out the biggest "character" of all. The basis from which the whole story springboards. "Full Service" a book by Scotty Bowers about a "gas station" that truly did exist during post WWII.

Yes its historically inaccurate but you don't watch a fantasy movie then complain that magic doesnt exist it was made clear that this is an alternate history. Things end 'happily' in this but they still make it evident that hate is still there. Even as they're all getting their happy endings they're still being bullied and judged. But can't we just enjoy the idea that despite all that hate they still suceede even if its impossible

I never actually liked Jim Parson’s acting, but after watching this I have to say he has earned a fan, and maybe an Emmy

The reality behind this show is heart breaking, indeed what I wish would've happened back then instead of what happened

The Oscar scene made me burst into tears. It is so wholesome and sentimental, and I can really feel the emotions of the characters.

If it doesn't get a season 2, I'm losing my faith in Netflix.

Jim Parson deserves an Emmy for his performance. I’d be shocked if he doesn’t get one
