I found these ruins a while ago and just got back from using my drone to get some better views of it. These are VERY high off the ground. I'm guessing probably 50 ft. or more. Did the people who made these use 50 ft. ladders?? Or did they use ropes from above? Or was there a ledge that was there originally but has since eroded? I hope you enjoyed this video! On my grandfather’s search for some of his cows he found a long log that had tree rungs on each side of the tree. The log was leaning along a mountain ledge. Curiosity led him to climb from a different area to discover cave holes. Broken pottery and bones scattered around inside. He was always finding arrowheads on trails in that area. I believe the University of Colorado undertook the digs in the area. This area is in the northern mountains and forest about 80 miles of Cuba NM.

At Mesa Verde I asked a ranger about how people could get up into those places - he said there are stories passed down that indicate they were excellent climbers - and these dwellings being so high up made it very hard for attackers to get to them.

I honestly believe there is so much more to be revealed. Especially around the canyon area, the rock there is a red colour and if u look at mount kailash it is a darker colour, but looks near enough the same except for the colour.& temperatures. I believe the world has been here for many thousands of years and there has been many floods/ ect . People might have been on that level at 1 point .

Went down on ropes not up. Once people were on the ledge everything was lowered in baskets.

Love how they blended materials so it looked natural. I imagine when it was built everything was concealed behind the wall. Be very hard to see back then.

I recently "found" a wall. I had been to this area south of Tucson Az. At least 10 times. It's a very remote area. I saw a pile of rocks and then saw that the wall was long and stretched quite a wat. I did not reach the end of it due to the brush and mesquite were very thick.

A lot of these southwest cliff dwellings were much closer to ground level when they were in use.. Flash floods in the arroyos and riverbeds below have washed away much of the cliff face at the base.

I always use the location of caves, structures, pediments, alcoves, etc (i.e., look at the Grand Canyon) to determine the water level 1000s of years ago for previous civilizations. The level of the Colorado "River" (and the world's oceans) used to be much higher 1000s of years ago when California (Lemuria) was an island.

They did that to hide items from other people, it was a very select few that had a route and had the chonies to access it.
