I'm Egyptian and I find this video significally good and informative and actually I had a DNA test last year and they found I was related to Ramsses II

Interesting fact: When Tutankhamen was mummified the oils used did not set and when the bandages were applied his body went through a slow exothermic reaction due to the oil, bandages and limited oxygen in his tomb which is why his body is charred and black, this process was very slow due to the limited oxygen in his tomb which is why his body is still mostly intact, had there been enough oxygen his entire sarcophagus may have been destroyed.

Does anybody else remember the old Egyptian book from the scholastic book fair? It was pretty graphic with good drawings and above a bubble it would show an Egyptian thinking “how long is this gonna take” while pulling all the intestines out of a person for mummification.. been looking for this book for years! I was drawn to the colors and pictures in the book!

I remember going to a museum and seeing mummies that had the faces exposed. You could still see the facial feautres very clearly, even the teeth and sometimes hair had been preserved. Amazing to think they have been dead for thousands of years!
