With all due respect, Buffet was 11 in 1941 and the SP500 was created in 1957.

I put 1.5k/month in and reinvest the dividends. The dividends make more dividends plus the money I put in plus the gains. It’s an endless cycle. Compounding is greatly underestimated. We live in a world of instant gratification and for that many will never see the blessings of compounding.

None of the indexes existed in 1850, it's scary how little time the stock market as we know it (ie when public exchanges first began and you could go speculate in a crowd) there may have been some in the 1700's but most data starts around 130 yaras ago) it's scary how short the data is. I could say based on the data, the SP500 will never go to nothing; but I only have 67 years of statistics on it. However, there are lords in England who have held title and land and wealth for 800 years; so lasting wealth is a real thing.

It’s easy to try to make someone seem like they aren’t giving you the right info, but if you actually put your extra money 100-200 monthly starting when you get your first job at 16, you’ll be a millionaire by 50. And if you are smart, you’ll put more money as you make more.

That’s the thing people keep forgetting. They say compound you money for 50 years and you will be millionaire. Even if I live til then wtf I’m I gonna do with my money?😂

s&p is the best investment a single individual can make withouth taking on risk

Index fund isn't going to make you 'rich'. It will merely protect you against inflation, and give you a slightly higher rate of return than savings account.

And it's pretty safe, long term.

$114 when warren buffet was a child was almost enough to buy a house

I was told it was just a very safe place to put it. Not necessarily for meaningful rapid growth

But everyone followed that advice, and 10-15 years later the P/En ratio is through de roof

Good Joke, Bad Calculation. Invest $114 a month for 82 years. You get $35.4 million (Assuming the average annual return of the S&P 500 10%)

Really dumb. Buying into the s&p when you’re young isn’t a bad idea if you have the discipline to leave it there. If you’re old and living on, or are in some way dependent on the money you already have, the s&p is probably too volatile an investment for you. It’s all situational.

That's 4000 times more that dude is a dork.
You could buy 5000 40 years ago and you would accomplish more than 99% of traders😂.

The stock market is inherently anti-Islam due to its speculative nature and involvement in interest-based transactions, both of which are strictly prohibited in Islamic finance. Islam prohibits any form of uncertainty (gharar) and exploitation (riba), which are prevalent in stock trading. Additionally, many companies listed on the stock market may engage in activities that are contrary to Islamic principles, such as producing or selling alcohol, gambling, or dealing with interest-based financial instruments. Thus, participating in the stock market goes against the fundamental tenets of Islamic ethics and morality. It's imperative for Muslims to seek halal alternatives for wealth accumulation and investment that align with their faith.
