Oklahoma has fallen but never forget the Feds had to enlist foreign armies to fight the American people

_Going through the wreckage of once was the outskirts of Oklahoma City, you stroll parallel to I-40. You hear very distant pot-shots echoing from downtown, with the occasional helicopter hovering overhead. You heard rumors about NATO states sending their men to fight in the countryside while the Federal Forces try to tame the coasts, but you didn't believe it until now. You come across the remnants of what was a German armor column, now completely decimated by mortar strikes. At this point, you can't even tell who did it, but you know whoever it were the same ones who napalmed OKC the previous day. They must've been trying to flee and head towards I-35, where a Federal camp was rumored to be on the way to Wichita._

_You advance closer. You're the last man standing in your National Guard detachment, so you approach slowly. You see bodies everywhere. You don't recognize the camo pattern, but you see the German flags on their shoulders. One of them even has a Belgian flag. Perhaps dual nationality? You don't know, but you don't have time to think as you hear coughing coming from behind one of the severed wheels. You walk around it to see only one remaining German soldier. His leg was blown off, but miraculously he was able to tourniquet it himself and even attempt to clean out the wound. But being on his own, he was going to die no matter what. He already lost too much blood and couldn't be saved._

_You think about mercy-killing him, but for some reason, despite all the fighting and killing you've already done, you don't have it in you to put this man down. He reaches his arm out and hands you what looks like a slightly bloody note folded up. He says one thing to you, "Es tut mir leid", as you guys make eye contact. The last bit of life he has left in him slips away as soon as you get a hold on the paper he handed to you. You decide to open it, and it reads as follows:_

"Mama,
Es tut mir leid, dass ich es nie nach Hause zu dir und Papa geschafft habe. Ich weiß nicht, was ich mir gedacht habe, als ich mich freiwillig gemeldet habe. Ich dachte, es wäre in ein paar Wochen vorbei, aber jetzt lag ich hier, sterbend, blutend mitten an einem Ort, den ich nicht einmal auf einer Karte zeigen kann. Ich kann nicht glauben, dass mein Leben so weit gekommen ist und wie es enden wird. Lass Erik nicht so werden wie ich. Beschütze ihn und lass ihn niemals wie seinen großen Bruder sterben. You carry on your way down the interstate, occasionally looking back to make sure nobody else was following you. Your next stop, Tulsa. You hope you can make it before morning._

Well, I reckon now that Omahas fallen, the feds will have the whole Missouri River back under there thumb by May. Been a slow winter, but we ought to see the eastern theater rap up, since the Canuck’s finally cut off the support to the north woods fellas. I don’t really care which side wins at this point, I just want to get it over with.
