Willie Nelson!!!! I grew up in Evergreen. He used to buy me apricot fruit roll ups when I'd see him at King Soopers. I thought he was just another one of my parent's friends. When I'd see him, I would scream "Billy" and run to say hi. I seriously wonder if he remembers the little girl he used to buy fruit roll ups for? Or were there a lot of us?

I know this is hard to believe, but I promise it's true. He used to keep a guitar at the local bar (The Little Bear) & would come in on a random Tuesday to play a few songs. ❤

Don't know about anywhere else, but those George Strait songs describe Texas country living to a tee. I just got off a 4 day road trip through the Texas Hill Country, San Angelo area, permeian basin on to far west Texas on many 2 lane backroads. There were several times that when the George Strait song would evoke some imagery, it would be EXACTLY what I was seeing before my eyes in real time ❤
