Tess Telescope Just Discovered A Fluffy Marshmallow Planet That Defies All Logic
Every now and then we hear about the discovery of straight-up impossible
exoplanets with some quite intriguing characteristics that are just mystifying. The
kind of planets that make the best astronomers and space scientists scratch their
heads.
Now, and once again, things are getting a little too weird because scientists have
found an exoplanet that is much bigger than Jupiter but made from cosmic
marshmallows. If you think this is weird, well, they did find earlier a planet that is
made of cosmic cotton candy.
Ok, I will be honest here, these exoplanets are not exactly made from the sweet
sugary stuff that we all love to indulge in along with a blue coconut slush after a
secret late-night trip to the nearest 7/11.
No, these planets only have the same texture as these candies. Meaning if you were
to stand on TOI-3757b, you will feel that you are standing on a massive round piece
of marshmallow many times the size of Earth.
So, what is baffling about these candy exoplanets? They should not exist. This leads
us to wonder what these planets are and how did they evolve and come into
existence in the first place.
