Tess Discovered Unusual Exoplanet With Features Never Seen!

The haunting for exoplanets is something delicate and complicated, and astronomers are struggling to invent new efficient methods, or improving technologies, in order to find planets similar to Earth.
In fact, for the moment, the equations tell us that our exoplanetary discoveries are biased, in the sense that we can only find some type of planets, with specific orbital and physical parameters.
For example, it's easy to find planets like Jupiter, or maybe planets distant from their host star.
Instead, it is not easy at all to spot exoplanets like Earth. And this is not because they don't exist. It's all about our limits in technology and methods.

Today we want to tell you something about Toi-2257b.
It was discovered with the help of the TESS telescope, one of the most known exoplanets hunter, and it has some special characteristics.
For example, it is two times bigger than Earth in size, and it has an eccentricity parameter of zero point five. This is a huge eccentricity. If you don't know what that means, don't worry: we will talk about this later in this video.

I am EXCITED about James Webb telescope. I was so nervous on Saturday. I can’t imagine what everyone felt like that actually worked on this telescope.

I'm probably a nerd for getting excited when I see a new Insane Curiosity video. I'm okay with that :)

Great vidro! My favorite exo-planet is actually several planets in the Trappist One system, particularly the ines in the habitable zone?

Simply stunning! These discoveries are getting bigger and better. Exciting days. ✔

I hate the term "new earth", we don't have enough evidence to assume that. There are many pieces of evidence required to truly give an exoplanet that status, and we have reached that threshold with exactly 0 exoplanet candidates.

Oh please save me from Tidally locked Superearths around Red Dwarf Stars.

2:38 I think you meant to say
"brightest planets near the star"

No real photos? I really want to check how it looks

A mass of 5 x earth so we'd weigh so much we cud hardly move! Not much good for us this place.

That's a good video about a few specific exoplanets.
As for the J.W.T. advanced telescope, it should primarily be quite good at watching the small head reflection from exoplanets that shall be doing their usual pac-man run, at their orbital paths around another exo-main star. Therefore by detecting many so called exoplanets by direct I.R. observation.
Meanwhile the usual space talk eggheads, most probably will just speculate to how the J.W.T. wont completely ruin their "big lie theory", for the formation of the Universe.

Spacex and NASA have exciting plans in 2022. Spaceships will become real in my lifetime (with a little luck). Happy!

or the planet could have been a rogue planet? since we discovered all these rogue planets its possible they get captured by these type of stars.

My favorite exoplanet is J1407b aka super Saturn.

I mean they disnt even have. Thete guess of what pluto looked like remotley close till we got a spacecraft to fly by it they have very slim idea anything about these exoplanets

Why have names planet? Instead of giving them code name

The dimming has very little to do with the _mass_ of the object. Everything to do with the relative _size_ of the object. An object the size of the _planet_ Pluto transiting at its current position would create a greater dip in light than an object the size of Jupiter transiting at the distance of Mercury.

Honestly, really not at all mind-blowing or exciting.
Boils down to this: there are other planets. We don't know much about them. The end.
My version saves 10 minutes.
