Thank u. I don't believe in the trinity but I love the way u said accept God almighty (father) the son and the holy spirit as the bible present them. That's what I have been doing.

This is the most understandable explanation of the trinity I’ve heard and I’ve heard many because I too didn’t understand

It's clearly a paradox. A transcendent paradoxical reality that we can't fathom yet. Just like how believers get saved. God by his predestination, He intervenes into the person's spirit and saves the persons soul by gifting the Holy Spirit and ALLOWING him to believe, and yes the person chose to believe as well. Great observation, Mr. Pearl! Thanks!

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

If Jesus and God are one why did Jesus prey to The Father to take away this cup on the night of his arrest.  Also at his baptism gods voice from heaven announced here is my beloved son in who I am well pleased.

Please do not confuse or corrupt the understanding of the Bible. While Jesus was on earth, on 3 separate occasions God's own voice was heard regarding His beloved son, Jesus. And Jesus made it clear that the one above is the Father and the holy spirit is a helper to help his disciples accomplish the work of preaching God's Kingdom

Virtually every 'Protestant' church I've visited or investigated includes the doctrine of the trinity in its statement of faith. Many recognize it as an "essential doctrine of the faith". Question: why? Why is believing the trinity essential to the christian faith? A confession of Jesus Christ as God and Saviour of men, but not the second person of the trinity is not enough?

It is impossible to explain God to man. We should worry more about repentance and live in peace.

Hebrews 4:12 confirms a division of our parts as it refers to the word of God...dividing between spirit, soul, and body.

I have an analogy, it's not biblical, but to me, that verse confirms that even we have at least three parts that are unique to our identity and God's word can move between them.

Here’s a string of questions that start with “am I”.
…merely flesh with an identifiable appearance? …my mind? …my soul? …my spirit? …my thoughts? …my will? …my conscience? …my subconscious? …my morality?

Excluding the flesh, none of those things can be seen or proven to exist, by any standards known to man. And, yet, while living, all of those things are uniquely united to make up any one human identity. If you’ve ever had a close friend finish your sentences it's because they've come to identify invisible attributes of your personality through relationship.

Considering the Almighty and Eternal God in which all things have been made, I'm not certain any of us can fully understand His persons well enough to limit it to measurable dimensions any more than we can fully understand the dimensions of our own being. We are told that we are made in His image.

God has certainly blessed us with a mystery that keeps us in awesome wonder.
