Thank you for such a simple explanation, it is very confusing at times esp explaining to non-believers.

Nice video. Every analogy used to describe the trinity ends up depicting a heretical ontology. Usually partialism or modalism. Along with the egg analogy, Ive often heard the water one too. The former being a prime example of partialism and the latter depicting modalism.

Take a look in the mirror. You will see one person. You are made in the image of God. How many person's do you see in the mirror. The doctrine of the trinity was started by Tertullian a Roman Catholic Church Father.

The Trinity: The Father is the fire ...Jesus is the light... and the Holy Spirit is the Heat.

The best way I've come to approach understanding is this: "Jesus is the literal word of God made flesh... And the Holy Spirit is the incarnate love God has for His Word." This maintains each person while also having them fully reliant on each other.

Analogy is one of our best tools of understanding. We are trying to understand the incomprehensible, but God wants us to know Him. There are better analogies and I don’t think it’s wrong to hash out better ways to grasp what cannot be fully grasped

Okay, so to piece together a quick summary:

The Trinity is composed of three separate, distinct persons, those being the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and each of these persons are equally God, the same God.

If that’s the truth, then please, can someone help me out on how this equals 1 God and not 3, because if you have three, separate, distinct persons, they can’t all be the same thing, that defeats the very concept of being separate and distinct.

DESIST and know who God is ..

PSALMS 46:10-11 says ..
10 "Desist, and know that I am God: I will be exalted in the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 Jehovah of armies is with us; the God of Jacob a height for us.
Silence."
( Smith's Literal Translation )

The Bible states that the Trinity has existed Strange claim. No one knew about it. Even Jesus didn't. Come to think of it, nor did God. (Isaiah 43:10)

It was the apostate church which came up with the Trinity notion. This was to detract people's minds from the sacrifice of Jesus.

Jesus identified who would be behind this conspiracy:

Matthew 13:39 and the enemy who sowed them is the Devil.

Sahidic Coptic version corroborates early Christian Christology in many of its readings. This is especially true regarding the doctrine of the Trinity, since the most that can be read from Coptic John 1:1c is that "the Word was divine, " not "the Word was God." Literally, what the Coptic version says is "the Word was a god."

This is consistent with what historians know about the development of the doctrine of the Trinity. As one edition of the New Encyclopedia Britannica puts it, "Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament....The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies." (Micropedia, Volume X, p. 126) It was not until the 4th Christian century that the doctrine of the Trinity was firmly established in the churches.

Likewise, the book Encyclopedia of Early Christianity, edited by Everett Ferguson, says, "Primitive Christianity, like Judaism, was distinguished from paganism by its unqualified monotheism." (page 912) This "unqualified monotheism" also distinguished the Christology of primitive Christianity from later Trinitarianism.

Since the Sahidic Coptic version pre-dates the 4th century, being dated in the late 2nd or early 3rd century, it is not surprising that it does not labor under the doctrine of the Trinity. Not only does the Coptic version refrain from identifying Jesus as God Almighty at John 1:1c. It also does not contain the Trinitarian addition at 1 John 5:7 ("these three are one"), nor speak of 'the church of God which he purchased with his own blood, ' (Acts 20:28) nor does it say that 'God was manifested in the flesh.' (1 Timothy 3:16) Rather, it speaks of the "church of the Lord" and says merely "this one who" was manifested in the flesh at 1 Timothy 3:16, not "God." Nor does it contain the added words at John 3:13, "[the Son of man] who is in heaven, " which incorrectly indicates that Jesus could be God in heaven and Man on earth at the same time. Instead, like the earliest extant Greek manuscript of the Gospel of John, the p66 [Papyrus Bodmer II], the Sahidic Coptic text omits that unauthorized addition.

Other renderings of the Sahidic Coptic version also corroborate the fact that early Christian Christology, while an exalted Christology, was 'unqualifiedly monotheistic, ' not Trinitarian. The Coptic readings are theologically neutral and frequently very literal readings of the New Testament Greek text

On its face the Trinity doctrine sits on the fence of polytheism, Modelism and Tri-theism while at its core it denies that Jesus Christ is truly the only begotten Son of the Living God, the only true God as Jesus stated in John 17:3-5.

To deny that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God is to deny both the Father and His Son as stated in 1 John 2:22-24.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
1 John 2:22‭-‬24 KJV

One thing I always love to ask Trinitarian's is this:

In John 20:21-22 while Jesus Christ was in the upper room with His Disciples did Jesus breathe "another person" on the Disciples or did He breathe His OWN Holy Spirit on the Disciples? To say anything other than His OWN Holy Spirit is to deny that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father and thus deny Jesus Christ is divine by nature of being the Son of God.

Examine the Trinity doctrine Creed thoroughly and it is easy to reject it as Unbiblical.

Thank you for this video, this is a reality that humans (including myself) must humble ourselves that are thoughts & ways are not God’s thoughts & ways. It’s okay to not fully comprehend the nature of God.
