As a bit of a power armor junkie, it amuses me to no end that at least half the images in this video are actually T-51 or T-60 suits. Not criticizing; archival footage and stills from the Wasteland are hard to come by, even to a group as resourceful as the Templin Institute.

I have an entire playthrough of Fallout 4 where I used the power armored suit gifted to me from the introductory quest in Concord, of course I also built my character to be able to utilize the armor for longer through the perk tree pertaining to it. The backstory goes he never felt it necessary to replace the unit with a newer model versus just enhancing it with later serial parts ( A-F ) as pre war he was familiar with its operational capabilities and the characteristics of the suit.

The T-45 Fallout Power Armor is such a good design overall not to mention protects you from radiation.

Funfact: the fallout power armor took a lot of inspiration towards the Novel Starship Trooper's description towards the power armor.

"The power armor describe it as a steel gorilla."

In one of the magazine in fallout 4. There is a picture about power armors with jetpacks flying in the air holding Plasma Rifles is a reference and homages towards the novel cover in starship troopers.

This is probably my favorite suit of power armor, Fallout 3 was my first Fallout game so it makes sense. Not as powerful as T-51 or T-60, and nowhere near X-01 or Advanced Power Armor Mark 2, but certainly a reliable and useful suit of armor. This is my choice of armor in Fallout until I can get the best armor in the game, the only exception is when in Fallout 76 you need to dedicate yourself to Power Armor builds to use them to their fullest effect so I just go without it. But T-45 is still my favorite as it was the first one I ever used so it still remains a favorite in my heart, and I'll use them at every opportunity I can get. Even when Excavator looks cooler in 76 and is my power armor I have on my sole frame T-45 remains my favorite.

I still stand by my old suit. Sure 51 is tougher, X-01 keeps out rads better and now we got the hellcats and 65s and yadda yadda. But the 45 is a classic, and she was there for me since the days of 3.

A staple for the Fallout Universe and one which defined it for many years. Power Armor was the key into winning the Sino-American War with ability to use infantry size heavy weapons in the tight confines of Alaskan Mountains and Urban City Centers to punch a hole into enemies lines, and for its ability to survive against Super-Mutants and Death-Claws in the Wastelands of the Post-War America.
