I know these as carpenter crayons. I use to borrow my grandfather's blue and red one to draw. Now they have all the colors. I could have a lot of fun with these. Thanks for bringing back a great memory for me and the inspiration. ♥

Colorful crayons under a black crayon layer makes instant scratch art!
Would look really cool as a galaxy or star field.

I love when you experiment with new art supplies! Professionals, kids or amateur like, I don't care is such a pleasure to see you enjoy them and play around with them!

Kasey i would love to sincerely thank you. Ive been watching you for nearly 5 years now and in 2020 my mom bought me your dennis plushie and it was the last thing she bought me before she unexpectedly passed. Watching your videos reminds me of her and i still sleep with dennis every night and it brings me an intense comfort and helped me so much through the grieving process. I love you kasey and even though you dont know me, i am forever grateful to you ❤

Try Caran D’ache Neocolor II, they are the most adult/professional waxy/smooth/oily pastel/crayon around. They are so much fun to work with. They are technically water soluble but honestly people most often don’t even bother with that and just use them as they are. They are also super pigmented. You should try them!

Both pieces turned out so fun and colorful! Being loose and sloppy/free can be so fun with art. ✨

i loved the end when you went fearless and drew the blood. I would love to see a full drawing of that same style approach of just putting stuff on the paper without sketching

There is something about kasey playing with crayons that is very addictive. I love the undertone space thing. And yes, it would work really well with different kind of art supplies. With this try and layer the colors down thick. Then with a light hand lay down black till it covers it and the pick the colors back again and blend the whole thing. It gives a wonderful result.
as for sharpening. I can guarantee you, i have never in my life sharpened crayons or oil pastels. When I color with them, i do so holding them on the side and rotate. Automatically sharpens them for me with zero wastage and zero mess. Also do that with my stick eraser

I LOVE peely pencils! The charcoal variety in particular are awesome. I keep a little sharpening block on hand to get a good point on them, and they’re perfect for figure studies!

When you said cat, fish and space I thought "space with alien fishes and a a cat astronaut" the idea in my mind was so cute

I used pencils like this to draw on maps as a kid. They're super smooth and draw particularly well on magazine style paper, and porcelain.

I’m a fidget lover so when I get anything like that I wind up peeling off a couple layers, breaking the supply, and peeling again
