If you don't know what poutine is, you've been missing out on one of life's greatest gifts. Crispy homemade french fries covered in a rich beef gravy, cheese, and well... that's all you need. That is unless you wanted to make say... a fancy version.

Im a french canadian, poutine is part of my DNA, i didnt need to watch this vid to know how to make it, but gotta say, i do apprciate the love you give to poutine! even if the fancy version feels like heresy to me 😆 love from Québec! 🇨🇦⚜️

The poutine is perfect, but there's one small detail that can be improve. To make the classic "Casse-Croute" poutine, use peanut oil to fry. You'll then have the brown greasy French fries we love in Québec. Other than that, your poutine is perfect.

I’m from Quebec, where the poutine is from in Canada, and I approve this recipe! And for everyone that thinks that Canadians eat this on the daily : NO! It’s junk food if it wasn’t obvious already but we often get it instead of fries as a side when we go to a fast food joint.

As a Canadian I approve and I haven’t even finished watching. Thank you papa
p.s. poutine means mess in quebecois slang
p.p.s you can put fries in cold oil, enough to cover, and turn it on medium high until they’re cwispy, and then u don’t need to double fry them

En tant que Québécoise … good job ! Nous célébrons la poutine, une semaine par année au mois de février.. you should come visit the north … et essayer d’la vraie poutine 😉

Loving the contrast between normal good tasting poutine and decadent.🍟

I've been using the St.Hubert Poutine Gravy at home but I'm going to try your gravy recipe. If you want to continue with the French Canadian food theme, try Tourtiere (Meat Pie). Or you can have fun with maple syrup desserts like Pouding Chomeur.

Papa i'm happy that you tried but as a proud Canadian and Quebecer you still have a lot to learn about poutine. The best poutine consists of cheese curds that are smaller, crunchy but not too crunchy. you want to add enough sauce so all the fries get saucy and enough cheese so you can have cheese with each bite, the "gourmet" poutine was a fiasco sadly, not using regular poutine sauce for it is heart breaking. I love your cooking and I've tried many of your recipes but this one wasn't it<3

I would eat both with many happy 'nomnoms' but the normal poutine is the one for me.
