Commenting because apparently I’m the only person in the world that used this successfully. It worked great! You need to stir it A LOT and I mean for like 10 minutes immediately by hand prior to use. We had it professionally stirred a few hours before use and it completely settled. Given all the reviews, I set a timer and stirred it a little every 5 minutes while using as well. I went from bare DIY sanded hardwood floors to beautiful stained room in a few hours. Brush worked better for me, something soft and designed for indoor. Shell out on a nice brush. Compared to my other projects, this hid any nicks much better too, because the stain doesn’t get down in the grooves and over-color. Didnt pre condition. And we used classic oak, so a very light warm hardwood color. We were matching the rest of the house so we HAD to use the poly stain combo and was nervous with all the bad reviews, but it was incredibly easy and blended perfectly with our existing floors! The only change we made were our old floors were gloss, but age made them more matte, so we used satin on the newly stained floors. I can’t believe I’m the only positive comment!! Will remember how easy this was to use in the future.

And how come you not tell people that you need pre-stain for the raw wood?

Almost 12 hours after application and still feel tacky :( can I buffer with the steel wood now or keep waiting until fully dry?
